I have always been able to pivot once I know my full circumstances. Pivoting gives me hope and a sense of control as someone who has complex PTSD. But the last few years since my car wreck where a semi-truck hit me on the highway leaving me with chronic pain and herniated discs in my lumbar spine, I have been forced to sit with the grief of the accident and the drastic changes the injuries sustained from it.
Chaney, thank you so much for sharing this vulnerable, heartfelt piece about your grief. It's so important that we do allow ourselves to grieve what we've lost. I wish you didn't have so much to grieve.
Just writing this seems like you are moving to another place in this process. So is your writing and fiber art program, which sounds fabulous!
I love that you quilt and have so many creative projects while sitting with that uncomfortable place of great adjustment and the new unknown unfoldings.
I'm so glad that you know how to take care of yourself, to create and find pieces to read and listen to that you enjoy, that soothe and inspire. ❤️
